Stakin To Discontinue Staking Support for Dock Network

An important message to our Dock Network delegators. After discussions with the Dock team and by mutual agreement, Stakin is discontinuing support for Dock Network validator node by 31st July 2022. We appreciate the support of each and every one of our Dock nominators. While we are discontinuing our services for Dock, our commitment to the Proof-of-Stake ecosystem remains, and this will be the opportunity to reallocate our resources and efforts to other protocols.

As the unbonding period for Dock Network is seven days (14 eras), we’d recommend nominating your $DOCK to another validator at your earliest convenience. You can find instructions on redistributing your stake to other validators below.

There are two options to redistribute your stake. Either change the selected validators or unbond your funds and then transfer them to a different validator set. To change the validator selection, go to the “accounts action” page, select your nominator, and then select “Set Nominees”. Then add or remove validators from the modal that appears.

The second option is to go to the “account actions” page and select your stake, then select “unbond funds”. On the pop-up, select unbond (in this case, unbond all). Remember that it will take seven days for your assets to unbond.

Once the unbonding period has passed, go back to the page and select the “withdraw unbonded” assets option. It’s possible to hover over the clock icon to see exactly how long until your stake will be unbonded. Withdraw the amount and transfer it to another of your stash accounts to stake a new set of validators.

We'd like to thank our delegators once more for their support, and we look forward to continuing our development and efforts within the proof-of-stake ecosystem.

DISCLAIMER: This is not financial advice. Staking, delegation, and cryptocurrencies involve a high degree of risk, and there is always the possibility of loss, including the failure of all staked digital assets. Additionally, delegators are at risk of slashing in case of security or liveness faults on some protocols. We advise you to do your due diligence before choosing a validator.
