Tendermint Introduces Emeris — A Crypto App Store Expanding Beyond the Cosmos Ecosystem

In an exclusive interview with The Block published on the 7th of July 2021, Tendermint announced their plans for a crypto app store that will expand beyond the Cosmos Ecosystem. The store will be called Emeris and allows access to a range of decentralized applications (dapps). Furthermore, Emeris will provide a single place for users to interact with different applications, such as lending protocols and decentralized exchanges. Tendermint plans to release a beta version of the project later this month and is targeting a public launch in September.

Phantom Wallet Announces Staking for Solana $SOL

Published on the 13th of July 2021, the innovative Phantom Wallet announced that they are working on staking for Solana’s $SOL and that this should be possible within the next few weeks. We at Stakin, for one, are very excited about this development.

Persistence $XPRT is now Fully Integrated into Keplr Wallet

As of the 21st of July 2021, Persistence $XPRT is available for holding and staking on Keplr Wallet. Keplr users will no longer have to scroll down to the Beta section of the selected networks dropdown to find Persistence.

ICONLOOPs Blockchain MyID Adoption

ICONLOOPs Blockchain DID or MyID will now be used throughout the POSCO CHANGe UP Ground, the largest startup incubation space in the non-metropolitan area of Korea. For more information, have a look at the full article.

Introduction to SKALE IMA Bridge

On July 20, 2021, the SKALE Network launched its SKALE IMA Bridge, demonstrating that security, transfer speed, custody preservation, cost efficiency, and customization do not have to be mutually exclusive. All of these characteristics are achieved by the SKALE IMA Bridge through the use of BLS cryptography, Ethereum mainnet smart contracts, Proof of Stake consensus, and other unique aspects of its design. This bridge enables developers and users to transfer digital assets between the Ethereum mainnet and any SKALE Chain in a secure and cost-effective manner. These digital assets may include tokens such as ETH, ERC20, ERC721, and ERC1155, as well as general messaging data.

The Ethereum London Hard Fork is Expected To Launch on The 4th of August!

In a recent article by Coinbase, Ethereum announced that Ethereum’s long-awaited London hard fork is likely to launch on Aug. 4 between 13:00 UTC (9 a.m. ET) and 17:00 UTC, with block 12,965,000. As a part of a roadmap designed to lead up to the release of Ethereum 2.0, which will replace Ethereum’s current proof-of-work protocol with proof-of-stake, the London hard fork has been implemented into various testnets. After successful activation on the Ropsten and Goerli testnets, the final hard fork release date was decided. The London protocol is quite controversial as it implements a fee-burning feature, which will reduce ETH supply but also miners’ revenue.

DISCLAIMER: This is not financial advice. Staking, delegation, and cryptocurrencies involve a high degree of risk, and there is always the possibility of loss, including the loss of all staked digital assets. Additionally, delegators are at risk of slashing in case of security or liveness faults on some protocols. We advise you to do your due diligence before choosing a validator.
