Happy Holidays! We’re hoping that you had a lovely 2020 regardless of everything that went on. It has undoubtedly been an excellent year for blockchain, and we’re happy to be a part of the ever-growing ecosystem. This is our 18th newsletter already and the last one for this year. So, look at everything that has been going on in the previous two weeks and enjoy the holidays!

Here’s our overview of the last two weeks:

  • ICON Contribution Proposal System is now live on Testnet and open for public testing.
  • Certik $CTK Staking Guide
  • StaFi rToken Whitepaper Release
  • Injective Protocol and Band Protocol Collaboration

ICON Contribution Proposal System Live!

On the 23rd of December 2020, ICON and Iconosphere P-Rep announced the first version of the Contribution Proposal System on Testnet, with Mainnet deployment scheduled for January 2021. The CPS release brings the ICON Network one step closer to realizing the vision of Delegated Proof of Contribution, where network resources are allocated to specific contributions to grow the ICON Ecosystem.

CertiK $CTK Staking Guide

At Stakin, we haven’t been sitting still regardless of the anticipation of Christmas. If you feel like you’d like to start staking CertiK, have a look at our latest guide: How To Stake CertiK $CTK with Deepwallet.

CertiK Foundation is the builders behind CertiK Chain, built with the vision of provable trust for all, every blockchain, smart contract, and user. The blockchain’s fundamentals are, therefore, focussed on provable trust.

StaFi rToken Whitepaper Release

The Proof-of-Stake ecosystem is ever-growing, which creates the challenge of helping validators unleash the liquidity of staking assets while ensuring the original chain’s security. StaFi’s rToken establishes the possibility of having staked assets circulate without the need to unstake. For the entire white paper, click here.

In other great StaFi news: FIS is now supported on BitMax, and taking Derivative for #ETH2 is live on Testnet.

Band Protocol Collaboration With Injective Labs

Injective Protocol, the first layer-2 DEX that unlocks the full potential of decentralized derivatives and borderless DeFi, has partnered with Band Protocol, Terra, and Mirror Protocol to access the $90 trillion stock market in a permissionless manner. They’ve created a borderless decentralized platform for equities and commodities that have been made possible with Terra’s synthetic DeFi platform and the highly scalable and secure decentralized oracle provided by Band Protocol.

DISCLAIMER: This is not financial advice. Staking, delegation, and cryptocurrencies involve a high degree of risk, and there is always the possibility of loss, including the failure of all staked digital assets. Additionally, delegators are at risk of slashing in case of security or liveness faults on some protocols. We advise you to do your due diligence before choosing a validator.
