Slashing risk• Downtime slashing (liveness fault): 0.01% of XPRT slashed. It happens when the validator is down for approximately 10,000 blocks (about 16 hours) • Double sign slashing: 5% of XPRT slashed. It happens if the validator tries to validate twice the same block (malicious behavior or poor set-up).
Learn about Persistence (XPRT)
Persistence, also known as Persistence One, is an interoperable blockchain network that focuses on financial products and Decentralized Finance (DeFi). Persistence intends to provide infrastructure to bridge the gap between traditional institutional finance and DeFi. Many innovative financial products already run on Persistence, such as Comdex, a blockchain market for trade finance and commodities. In July 2021, Persistence introduced pSTAKE, a platform offering liquid staking products. Further financial products have been and will be launched on Persistence, ranging from lending to asset tokenization, NFT applications, and more. XPRT is the native asset of the Persistence network. Persistence is a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) protocol built using Tendermint and the Cosmos SDK. Staking XPRT enables token holders to participate. It happens in the network’s security, vote on decentralized governance proposals, and earn a staking yield in newly minted XPRT.
