deBrigde Launches Mainnet
On the 17th of February 2022, deBridge Finance launched its Mainnet. Currently, the deBridge Mainnet allows projects and users to do the following:
- An infrastructure and application that enables the bridging and transfer of any arbitrary asset or data between all five supported chains.
- Cross-chain asset swaps between three blockchains: Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Polygon.
- Implemented a comprehensive interoperability framework to allow protocols and applications to traverse cross-chain and take advantage of numerous cross-chain opportunities.

Polygon Raises $450M from Sequoia Capital
On the 7th of February 2022 Polygon announced it has secured $450 million in a round led by Sequoia Capital India to support the company's Web 3 ambitions. SoftBank, Michael Novogratz's Galaxy Digital, Tiger Global, Republic Capital, hedge fund manager Alan Howard, and Kevin O'Leary of ABC's "Shark Tank" were among the 40 venture capital firms who participated in the round. Polygon said in a statement that the cash will be used to develop Web 3 apps such as Polygon PoS, Polygon Edge, and Polygon Avail, which are akin to Amazon Web Services' services for Web 2 developers.
Umee Mainnet Launch
On the 15th of February 2022, Umee launched its Mainnet. The network offers an easy wโโay to start your DeFi experience for staking, rates, and interoperable solutions across blockchains.

Axelar Raises $35M Series B Financing Round at a $1B Valuation
Axelar, the universal decentralized interoperability network connecting all blockchain ecosystems, applications, and assets, announced today the completion of a $35 million USD funding round led by Dragonfly Capital, Polychain Capital, North Island Ventures, Rockaway Blockchain Fund, Cygni Capital, Lemniscap, Olive Tree Capital, Blockchange Ventures, Node Capital, and angel investors including Waikit Lau and Gokul Rajaram, among others.
With this current Series B fundraising round, Axelar's valuation has risen to $1 billion USD. The financing will be used to assist Axelar's expansion as it continues to roll out its mainnet, and it comes on the heels of the company's earlier $25 million Series A round in mid-2021.
Washington Nationals Join Forces with Terra Community DAO
On February 9th, Terra announced its collaboration with the Washington Nationals in a new-kind of promotional partnership. The Terra Community Trust (TCT) has engaged into a five-year, $38.15 million collaboration with the Washington Nationals MLB organization to promote Terra throughout its home stadium and TV network, as well as to seek to make UST an acceptable currency in venue transactions.
